The 3rd R - Redistribute Power: as a collective we offer two options for participating in our eco-system, Membership and Affiliation.
Who Can Join
4th R - Reorganize Yourself: our practice is the implementation of new people/planet focused legal and financial structures.
The organizations we accept must be organized around financial and legal structures that benefit people and the planet over profit. This is a list of acceptable structures and we recognize others may exists. If you want to see if your organization qualifies, contact us through our Member or Affiliate forms.
Social Impact 501(c)3
What might traditionally be called a non-profit in the US. We prefer Social Impact as we recognize value beyond profit.
Worker Cooperative
Worker cooperatives operate for the benefit of the workers who are produce a surplus. This surplus is distributed amongst the workers and the community.
Consumer/Member Cooperative
Consumer/Member cooperatives are operate for the benefit of the community. The community members have access to the products/services at a lower rate than the general public.
Housing Cooperative
Housing which is managed for the benefit of the residents and Community.
Land Trust 501(c)3
Land trusts hold real property being managed for public benefit. This includes agriculture, natural resources (timber, minerals, water, etc).
Non Government Organization (NGO)
Typically a 501(c)3 chartered with managing some shared resource. This might include things like transportation, energy and education.
